About the artist:
Palle Ankersen, born 1995, works with drawings in various forms, on paper, glass and collages with colored paper. He thinks of his pictures as some kind of worlds or scenes where fictional events mirror reality through an ambiguous symbolism. Stylized representations of nature and coulisse-like rooms are recurring in his drawings, aswell as depictions of calm violence, agriculture, deformed animals and humans.
Palle Ankersen wants to combine strict, simple aesthetics with a multilayered content – create a kind of mythological propaganda, flags from another world, instructions manuals from the subconscious.
